Krishna was driving Arjuna’s chariot. Ashvatthama attacked Him with arrows, although the warriors’ rules protected charioteers.
Arjuna stepped before Krishna to intercept the arrows. They wounded him, yet his love for Krishna was so intense that they seemed to him like falling flowers.
