Konstnärlig illustration av berättelsen

In the waters of the great deluge, Keshava appears in the form of a fish. In this form He preserves the Vedas.

His deed is like that of a rescuing vessel. He bears the Vedas without weariness. Jayadeva offers praise to Him as Hari, Lord of the world.
