Krishna and Radha continued through Vrindavan's spring forest. Honey ran down the mango trees toward their roots. Krishna compared the trees to generous householders and the vines to their wives. The birds returned to receive the gifts of that forest.

He also spoke of Govardhana's beauty. Its golden heights and the Manasi-ganga recalled Mount Meru. Its bright caves suggested the snowy Himalaya. Its high summits recalled the Vindhya mountains. The silver rocks that served as seats reminded Him of Kailasa.

Krishna pointed out Parasauli. He remembered it as the place of their nightly rasa. He proposed that they rest on its jeweled platforms. Radha and Krishna sat down there together. Vrinda brought the honeywine.

Radha looked into a silver cup to judge the honey's sweetness. There she saw Krishna's face reflected. The sight drew her attention. To her, His face was sweeter than the honey. She took in its image as though drinking the nectar of His face.

Radha addressed the Creator. The gopis had blamed him for the bashfulness that restrained their eyes. They could not freely look straight at Krishna. Now the reflection allowed that sight without hindrance. For this gift, she offered the Creator repeated praise.

Krishna answered with a playful remark. He addressed Radha as His sakhi. He said that she was drinking the nectar of His face. Then He wondered aloud what effect the honey itself would have on her.
