After the rasa pastimes, Radha was with Krishna. She gradually fell asleep. But sleep brought Her no peace. When She awoke, She sat beside Her beloved. She embraced Him and told Him what She had seen.

In the dream, She sat on a throne set with jewels. A precious parasol stood above Her. An angry brahmana took it away. Then he pushed Her into a deep, dark ocean. Its water seemed black as eye ointment.

The ocean held crocodiles and towering waves. Frightened, Radha sought rescue. Again and again She called to Krishna. But in the dream She could not find Him. As She sank, She saw the moon break apart.

The sky itself seemed to fall toward the earth. The sun fell and split into four pieces. Then sun and moon appeared again. Dark Rahu eclipsed both lights. The brahmana took and broke Her vessel of nectar.

In the next vision, he dragged Her beloved away. The lotus stalk in Her hand broke. Her mirror fell, shattered and turned black. Her jeweled necklace came apart. The lotus withered and fell to the ground.

The dolls in Her home danced and laughed. Then they clapped, sang and wept. A black wheel descended from the sky and rose again. Krishna seemed to tell Her He was leaving. A dark figure dressed in black embraced Her.

As Radha recounted the dream, fear and grief overwhelmed Her. She fell before Krishna's feet. He listened and embraced Her. Through His yogic power, He imparted pure spiritual knowledge. Freed from grief, Radha embraced Him once more.
