Morning began early in Nanda's home. Yashoda looked after Krishna before He went out. Outside she could hear the herd and His friends. For her this was a time to care for Him. Every small detail had its place.

First she held and fed Him with a mother's tenderness. Then she prepared His clothes for the day. She knew He would soon walk into the forest. She could not follow every step He took there. So these morning moments were especially dear.

Yashoda spoke prayers for His protection. She decorated His forehead with loving attention. She fastened protective ornaments to His arms. Her movements were careful and familiar. She prepared Him as a mother prepares her child.

Krishna could see her concern for Him. To her He was no distant ruler. He was a son who needed food and clothing. He was a son going out with friends. Her love filled the courtyard.

The Nectar of Devotion includes this scene. It describes the parental bond with Krishna. That bond does not need a grand public event. It appears in feeding, adornment, and prayer. Such acts make the rhythm of a home.

When the boys call for Him, it is time to go. Yashoda watches Him join His friends. The cows slowly fill the road. She remains with the memory of that morning. Every ornament carries her wish for His safety.

The day passes and her thoughts follow Him. She knows He is with Balarama and His friends. Still her eyes keep turning toward the road. She listens for sounds traveling from afar. She waits for the familiar call of His flute.

The source describes that eager waiting too. When she worries that Krishna is late, Yashoda steps outside and then returns indoors. She wants to see Him coming home. Morning care continues in evening expectation.

There is joy and concern in this love. Neither feeling cancels the other. Her prayer does not replace her embrace. Watching the road does not mean she doubts Him. All of it belongs to her closeness to Him.

When Krishna returns from the pasture, His voice fills their home again. Tomorrow morning will bring similar tasks. Yashoda will carry them out with love once more. Her devotion lives in that repetition.
