A dark blue cloud appeared above Vrindavan. Its color stood out in the sky. Radha noticed it while She was with Her friends. The sight immediately reminded Her of Krishna. His complexion is compared to a blue cloud. The friends noticed Her gaze. She thought of Him with great tenderness. In Her heart She longed to be with Him again. The cloud remained above the forest trees. And remembrance filled the quiet moment.

A sakhi later told Krishna about it. She described what had happened to Radha. She did not describe a great event or celebration. It had all begun with the color of a cloud. Yet in it Radha remembered His appearance. The sakhi had noticed Her feelings. She conveyed them to Krishna with care. She wanted Him to understand Radha's longing. A simple sight became a message. The friend attended to what the heart remembers.

For Radha the cloud was more than weather. Its blue color awakened a beloved thought. She did not have to see Krishna to remember Him. Nature helped Her feel His nearness. Her friends were beside Her at that moment. They did not interrupt Her thoughts. They knew love can be expressed in silence too. They looked toward the same sky as Radha. Yet one sight can touch different hearts differently. Love gave the cloud a special meaning.

The sakhi kept that picture in her memory. Later she conveyed it to Krishna in her own words. She forgot neither the cloud nor the feeling. Her news was not about something one could buy. It was about a moment when Radha remembered Him. Krishna received the message from the friend. Such words connected the sakhis with Him. Through them He could hear of Radha's heart. And the cloud remained a quiet witness to remembrance. Its color carried their thoughts farther.

The same chapter holds another brief scene. It shows Krishna with His friend Madhumangala. Madhumangala watched Krishna closely. He noticed that His thoughts were elsewhere. Peacock feathers were falling to the ground. Krishna did not notice them at that moment. Flower garlands were also being offered to Him. His attention did not remain upon them. His friend wondered what occupied Him. Then he followed the direction of His gaze.

Krishna's eyes were turned toward Radha. Madhumangala found the reason for His absorption. With his usual wit he told Krishna what he saw. He spoke as a friend who knew Him well. His remark was full of cheer. He did not need to search long for an explanation. Krishna's glance had already told him much. Flowers and feathers remained nearby. But Krishna's attention was directed toward Radha. Madhumangala noticed that tender moment.

The two scenes describe different memories and glances. In the first Radha sees the blue cloud. In the second Krishna turns His gaze toward Her. Friends notice what the others are feeling. The sakhi carries news of Radha's feelings. Madhumangala notices Krishna's distraction. Neither has to invent a great feat. A cloud and a glance are enough for the story. Through them the love already present can be seen. Friendship gives words to those feelings.

Sky and forest form the setting of daily life. The friends know the paths of Vrindavan. Krishna and His companions share them too. Sometimes the gathering talks and laughs. Sometimes it simply looks and listens. In the book, such brief moments matter too. They reveal different forms of devotion. Radha remembers with longing and love. Krishna attentively follows Her form. And close friends notice both moments.

Madhumangala was known for his wit. His remark comes from the closeness of friendship. He knew Krishna better than a passing stranger. So he could see the change in His gaze. The sakhi, in turn, knew Radha. So she understood Her response to the cloud. Both friends looked with attention. They had different ways of expressing it. One made a joke, while the other carried news. Both voices belong to the world of Vrindavan.

This is a literary retelling of the thirtieth chapter. The book gives two separate examples of love for Krishna. Radha sees a blue cloud and remembers Him. A friend tells Him of Her longing. In another example Madhumangala watches Krishna. He notices that His gaze is directed toward Radha. Peacock feathers and garlands go unnoticed. The retelling connects the two brief scenes by theme. It does not present them as one verified event. In both, love is revealed through attention.
