A gopi saw Radha and Krishna together. Before her was the most precious treasure of her life. She saw that single precious jewel appearing in two forms. The sight immersed her in love. Tears flowed from her eyes. With a voice broken by emotion, she addressed Radha reverently.

She expressed her prayer in song. She asked Radha to teach her the songs Radha herself composed. She longed to understand their many musical expressions. She asked Radha to guide her in singing of Hari. She wished to behold Radha thrilled with devotional joy. Her prayer to learn the songs joined her wish to serve.

She honored Radha as the mistress of Vrindavan's groves. She asked to be accepted among her attendants. She wished to care for the feet of Radha's beloved. She asked to be entrusted with tending the flower grove. She wished to arrange the flower couch under Radha's direction. She also asked to massage her feet and arrange her hair. She longed for a little of Radha's betel remnants as well.

Her song also spoke of Radha's companions. She wished to join them in service. She asked Radha to teach her the skills used to arrange meetings. She longed to help arrange their meetings at night. She implored Radha not to turn away from her plea. She prayed that, even while held in Krishna's embrace, Radha would give her an affectionate glance.

Radha heard the gopi. Tears of affection filled her eyes. She embraced her lovingly. Then she directed her to offer respects to Govinda. The gopi addressed him. Her next song again asked for service to Radha.

She praised Krishna as the delight of Vrindavan. She compared his smiling face to an opening lotus. She compared his teeth to kunda buds. She called him a source of joy. She described his joy in the friendship of Radha's sakhis. She sang of his joy in gazing at Radha's face. She praised the flute that soothes Radha's displeasure. She sang of Krishna's voice faltering with love as he heard Radha's music.

In her song, Radha appeared as an ocean of love. Krishna was her beloved, bound to her pastimes. The gopi asked him to grant her a place in Radha's service. Again and again, her prayer turned toward Radha's lotus feet. She offered these prayers to Govinda. He looked upon her with mercy and deep affection.

The poem describes his glance as a shower of love. The gopi found her shelter with Radha and Krishna. She remained beside them. She became skilled in different forms of service.
